Other Info: Riley is crate and potty trained.  She follows commands (Sit, stay and many hand/eye signals in which she will wait to be released).  She is excelling with her training, but she requires a heavy amount of exercise to diminish her desire to be busy.  She is very loving, enjoys much cuddling and will ask for your attention if she feels she in need of more than you are giving her!  She loves to play with all dogs, but is learning her own strength and limitations of what other dogs will allow. She has met a cat, but her prey drive is such that I would advocate for a cat free home.  She would excel in fly ball, as she is almost cat like in her jumping ability and desire to chase things, like tennis balls.  She would also excel in any mind challenging activity, but especially lure coursing and agility training.  She will need a firm owner that is ready to keep her mind and body active.  She is a gentle soul with a tremendous about of energy that when controlled, she will grow to be a phenomenal part of your pack.   Are you looking for an active girl?

Other Info: Bella is a beautiful ridgeback girl who wants nothing more than a family to call her own. Bella is up-to-date on all vaccines and tested heartworm negative. While cautious with some strangers, once introduced she is very loving and attentive. Bella is housebroken and crate trained. She likes to be covered up at bedtime and will sleep in her crate or on a dog bed or in bed with her human. Bella weighs about 75 pounds and is full of spunk! She loves to play with her foster brother and sister ridgies, but also greatly enjoys cuddling with her humans. She plays rough and tough in the yard and may want to be the alpha if given the opportunity. She is extremely interested in chasing the squirrels and will run if given the chance. Bella knows some basic obedience commands but could use a refresher course as well as some more leash manners. She has some scarring on the back half of her body from being picked on by other dogs in her former home. She shows no signs of remembering any of this, as she has nothing but love to give. Other Info: Sherman is an extremely handsome and large fella who is a dark red wheaten and weighs about 115 pounds. He is fully vetted and has just completed heartworm treatment. While cautious with some strangers, once introduced he is very loving and attentive. Sherman is completely housebroken and can be trusted loose in the house when you are gone (except for garbage cans). He will go into a crate to sleep, but doesn't like the door closed. Although raised in a family with 4 children, I would not recommend small kids due to his size. He loves going for rides in the car, is good with a bath and enjoyes being brushed and groomed. He likes nothing better than getting attention and will cuddle every chance he gets. He is dedicated to his humans.
 
Sherman needs additional training, especially when walking on a leash, and needs to stay confined within a fenced yard while training, as he will persue small animals when out. He is playful with nonaggressive and larger female dogs (he was raised with a female pit) but does not like smaller or aggressive dogs. He rarely barks, but when he does, he leaves no doubt there is a large dog in the house. He has learned to sit and take a treat gently and is starting to learn to play ball outside. He is somewhat of a diamond in the rough....but has a heart of pure gold.

Temperament: Friendly and Loving

Other Info: Melody came into rescue the end of August, 2009 and is a beautiful ridgeback girl. She has a friendly and loving temperament. Melody has a very gentle soul and you can see it in her eyes. She quickly learned the joys of dog beds and blankets and loves squeaky toys and bones to chew on.

Melody gets a long with other dogs and is intrigued with the neighbor’s outdoor cats. She also likes to check out the squirrels. Melody also loves attention from her foster family.

Melody needs a very special, loving and patient family and possibly one with a strong male dog. She would also benefit from a fenced yard. Melody is very uncomfortable when she is outside. She is so uncomfortable that she will not consistently potty outside and will potty in her crate. When Melody came into rescue she would potty outside for a couple of days and then it stopped. Something environmental may have scared her. Our hope is that in her own home she will get over the fear of being outside.

Other Info: Reggie is a 3.5 yr old neutered male Ridgeback.  He is around 105 pds and is quite tall and slender. He is up to date on all his shots and has heartworm tested negative.  He is also chipped with a HomeAgain Microchip.   He gets along well with other dogs and loves to play.  He is very athletic and loves to yahoo around the yard. He eats well, sleeps til you get up, and is crate trained.  He also loves to go for rides in the car. Because of his size, Reggie should probably go to an experienced RR owner. I have been told he has a problem with cats, but seems to be fine with children, but will probably take their toys.
