When Bella (a pug breed) came into our home at 2 month of age (even though I was not ready to have a dog ha-ha,) I loved her the moment I saw her Betty Boop eyes, her tiny body, and a nose as big as a prune and I knew I was in trouble. Never forget... My daughter came to pick me up at the airport and there she was.
For over 2 years she made me laugh, gave me lots of company and lots of love... She drifted away 48 hours after surgery due to an aggressive tumor in her intestine.
We missed you a lot.. My house is empty without you.. You were my shadow at home.
A piece of my heart went with you...
Thank you Mi Bellita for sharing your life with us, even though I wish it were for much longer.
Love you for ever...

After many years of fighting mast cells, the old man has crossed the bridge to sunshine, warm weather and doggy friends from the past. Rudy is by far the best dog I have ever had or known. Sweet, smart, caring, gentle. Nicknamed "Sheriff" for not putting up with shenanigans, he kept true to form and was scolding his 2 brothers even while he lay on his pillow waiting for the final moment.
Rudy came to me at 8 weeks, It was 8 weeks after I had bought my first house. I needed someone to share it with me and he did that as my first companion for nearly 13 years. I miss him, as do his Brothers Lancelot & Ceasar.
Go get a squirrel my freind!

My beloved Cisco,
Not a day goes by in which I do not
see you someplace in the house.
I miss the sound of your foot steps.
You will forever be in my heart and

Dec. 22, 2009
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side
spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and
starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty
and strength. I stand and watch her until at length
she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the
sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says:
"There, she is gone!"
"Gone where?"
Gone from my sight. That is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she
was when she left my side, and she is just as able to
bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says,
"There, she is gone!"
there are other eyes watching her coming,
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:
"Here she comes!"
And that is dying.
