I am a very pretty, petite little ridgeback girl about 10 months old. Weighing in at about 52 lbs I am probably not going to get to much bigger. I was obtained from a commercial breeder, so have not been well socialized. I am a shy , reserved little girl who is easily scared by loud noises and new things. I have improved greatly in my foster home but will probably always be a more timid dog. I really need another dog in my forever home because that is all I know is having fur friends for comfort. My foster fur brother is a silly playful boy who loves everybody and is not afraid of anything and he really has helped me learn about life in a home.
Activity: moderate-high as I am a puppy. I love walking and that really helps my energy level in the house. Would probably make a good running companion.
Crate: yes crate trained . I do well in my crate next to my fur brothers crate. If alone can be noisy so would need some patience adjusting to that. I do get to sleep on a bed sometimes and I really like that.
Cats: I live with a very dog savy cat in my foster home but I am very curious about her and do try to chase her sometimes!
Dogs: get along well with all sizes.
Kids: am a little afraid of them.
Health: recently had dermoid surgery but otherwise has been very healthy.
Leash: walks with a harness currently due to her recent dermoid surgery but does best with a gentle leader as she pulls . Is a flight risk so need to be very aware of surroundings when walking due to her noise sensitivity/fears. High prey drive also.
Obedience: knows sit and wait. Needs obedience training.
Merida had 4 dermoids removed, and is doing so well! Donations in her honor are greatly appreciated! Link below pictures, thank you.
